Navigating the System: New Patient Orientation

This is a free class for cancer patients who are newly diagnosed, and their loved ones. The presentation will include general information about cancer and treatment.  You will receive information about support services, insurance and financial assistance, and receive answers to any questions you may have. Now that my Treatment is Finally Over

This is a free two-hour class for cancer patients and past patients. Reservations are recommended; call Wanda Brasgala at 796-3061. Darling Horcasitas, PA, will be presenting. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 6pm - 8 pm. Sponsored by the New Mexico Cancer Center. the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and is open to the community. Watch the bulletin board in the New Mexico Cancer Center for other 2010 class dates.

 

Gift Closet/Look Good, Feel Better 

This is a program of the American Cancer Society, held in the Conference Room every Wednesday afternoon from 3 to 5 pm.  Cancer patients may choose free wigs, scarves and other head coverings, and have free fittings for breast prostheses and mastectomy bras. No reservations are needed.

The free class, “Look Good, Feel Better,” for women who will lose their hair or have complexion changes due to cancer treatment, will be held during the Gift Closet. Reserve a spot for LGFB by calling 796-3061. The gift closet and LGFB are open to the community.
